For both Breakfast Club and Afterschool club in Rosewell we cater for families at both Rosewell PS and St Matthews PS.
Breakfast Club
We open from 7am and you can locate us within the Rosewell Pavilion. We offer a free flow breakfast with a choice of cereals toast, yoghurts & fruit.
Some families choose our half Breakfast session which is from 8.20am and the children attending this will always be offered a slice of toast and some fruit before school.
We have a range of activities on throughout the morning from role play, arts & crafts, boards games and much more.
At 8.40am the children are walked down to school via Cartnathie Street and are lined up within the playground at their allocated areas where staff stay and supervise the children until they have been collected by their teachers. If we have children attending from both school’s additional staff are provided to allow a drop off to both schools.
Should you have any questions regarding breakfast club you can contact the club and speak with Cheree the lead worker within the BC.
After School Club
Rosewell ASC is registered to have 40 children aged 5years – end of Primary School. Any children aged 3-5 years wishing to use the wrap around service would be invited to use this service within our Rosewell Community Nursery.
Our Children are collected from both schools at 3.15pm, They all congregate at Rosewell PS before walking back to the pavilion together via Cartnathie street.
We offer a healthy snack following the National Setting the Table nutrition guidelines this is done through a role in process to allow the children to continue their play. As a service we also cater for any allergy or dietary requirements the children may have.
After snack the children choose what and where they would like to play. Indoors we always have a variety of different play spaces set up for the children, this includes things like, den building, arts and crafts, house corner, cars and tracks, board games etc.
The children love being outdoors and having the park and woodland area on our doorstep that we take full advantage of daily play in these areas.
As with all our After School Club settings we have several children attending who have a range of additional support needs and it is our ethos to have the services integrated throughout. This has shown to be beneficial for both our mainstream and additional support needs children.
