Paradykes ASC

Breakfast Club

We open from 7am and you can locate us within the Loanhead Centre, George Avenue (Paradykes School). We offer a free flow breakfast with a choice of cereals toast, yoghurts & fruit.

Some families choose our half Breakfast session which is from 8.20am and the children attending this will always be offered a slice of toast and some fruit before school.

We have a range of activities on throughout the morning from role play, arts & crafts, boards games and much more.

At 8.40am the children are taking to school through the gym hall and are lined up at their allocated areas where staff stay and supervise the children until they have been collected by their teachers.

Should you have any questions regarding breakfast club you can contact the main office and speak with Yvonne the BC manager.

After School Club

Our Paradykes ASC is based within the Link and we are registered to have 85 children from aged 3years – 18years within the setting.

We have the use of the community park, soft play, dance studio, wellbeing, sensory garden and our own secure garden at the rear side of the building.

The children are collected from Paradykes PS at 3.15pm and are walked back to the Link via Gaynor Avenue.

We offer a healthy snack following the National Setting the Table nutrition guidelines this is done through a role in process to allow the children to continue their play. As a service we also cater for any allergy or dietary requirements the children may have.

Throughout the afternoon the children have the choice of play indoors with a variety of different play opportunities including arts and crafts, imaginative play, messy play, dancing, den building and much more. We also have a variety of play happening in the sensory garden including campfires, mud kitchen play, digging etc

As with all our After School Club settings we have several children attending who have a range of additional support needs and it is our ethos to have the services integrated throughout. This has shown to be beneficial for both our mainstream and additional support needs children.
