A local Midlothian Charity worker has won a prestigious award in the Nursery Operations/Regional Director category in the Scottish NMT Nursery Awards 2017.
Irene Hogg MBE is the CEO at LASC Childcare Services, managing overseeing a Community Nursery, an Additional Needs Service, 5 Out of School Care Clubs and School Holiday Clubs based within 5 Campuses in Loanhead, Roslin, Rosewell and Bilston.
She was nominated by her Staff, for the Nursery Operations/Regional Director of the Year Award 2017. The judges chose Irene because she demonstrated her passion and commitment to children, parents and staff from all sectors. She dedicates her time and knowledge effectively supporting her managers and staff whilst still finding the time to be involved in numerous voluntary organisations.
On being made aware of this award Irene said “I can’t express my shock and appreciation that the work I have been doing with children and the communities within Midlothian has been recognized with this award. Our various children’s and community facilities rely on many staff and volunteers and I wish to take this opportunity to thank them all for their ongoing support. This award is not just about me but the people at all levels within our organisation whose contribution makes such things possible.”

Scottish NMT Nursery Awards 2017 is an annual event organised by Nursery Management Today, the leading business publication in the nursery sector and sponsored by key companies providing services in the sector. The Awards are designed to discover and reward the very best people in the Scottish Nursery Sector.
